Dr. Richard Steinman  

Dr. Richard Steinman MD served as the 87th President of the Broward County Medical Association from October 2013-October 2014.  

 
Previously Dr. Steinman has previously held the office of Broward County Medical Association, President-Elect (2012-2013), Vice President (2011-2012), Treasurer (2010-2011) and Secretary (2009-2010). He has been active in organized medicine for many years, and serves on the Broward County Medical Association Board of Trustees and Board of Directors. Previously he has served on the Florida Medical Association Board of Governors and on the Ohio State Medial Association Board of Directors (Councilors).
 
Dr. Steinman received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida, his Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a Masters of Science (Cardiac Electrophysiology) from Case Western Reserve University. He received his Medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio.
 
Dr. Steinman completed his internship and residency in Radiology at the University of Florida and was the first to receive the prestigious honor of Loral Fellow in Medical Imaging and MRI from Georgetown University. He is Board Certified by the American College of Radiology. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, Broward County Medical Association, and Florida Medical Association. He has received many honors including; Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, Omicron Delta Kappa, Mortar Board, Savant UF, Florida Blue Key, Order of Omega, Sigma Tau Sigma, Alpha Epsilon Delta, and Phi Eta Sigma. He has widely published scientific articles in both the radiology and engineering literature.
